Tornado watch issued for Meadow Lake, thunderstorm watches also in effect

Aug 4, 2022 | 3:25 PM

Environment Canada issued a tornado watch for Meadow Lake and the surrounding area Thursday, warning that conditions are right for a tornado to form.

The weather service also issued severe thunderstorm watches for the areas around Kindersley, Martensville, Warman, Prince Albert, Shellbrook, and the Battlefords.

Watches mean conditions are right for severe weather, while warnings indicate severe weather is imminent or already occurring.

The latest information on the weather alerts can be found on Environment Canada’s website.
