Buffalo Narrows RCMP looking for man considered armed and dangerous

UPDATE: Kobin Morin has been located and he is now in police custody.

RCMP are looking for help locating 23-year-old Kobin Morin.

Police believe Morin was involved in a stabbing in Turnor Lake Monday morning (Oct. 31). Turnor Lake is about 87 kilometres north of Buffalo Narrows.

Before leaving the scene of the alleged stabbing, Morin is believed to have stolen a firearm. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous. Anybody who sees Kobin Morin should not approach him and call 911 right away.

Morin is around 6-1 and around 200 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. When last seen, he was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt and dark pants.

Residents of Turnor Lake have been told to use caution and to report any suspicious activity. The public is asked to avoid any unnecessary travel to Turnor Lake. Buffalo Narrows RCMP, along with RCMP resources from La Loche and Dillon detachments are assisting in the investigation

At last word, the male victim was receiving medical attention and police don’t have an update on his condition.

Anybody with information on the location of Kobin Morin is asked to contact police right away.
