Local pooch Luna named ‘top dog’ in second annual Dog Tag Auction

“Sassy, silly and fun-loving,” there’s a new top dog in Meadow Lake, and her name is Luna Pie Ophelia Huber.

An 11-year-old pooch adopted in 2014, Luna has been recognized as the recipient of Meadow Lake’s #1 Dog Tag for 2023.

Luna remains active, hearing every little noise and investigating, and is perhaps best known for her adoration of family. Luna also likes ‘cheese, squeaky toys, and car rides,’ as noted in the City of Meadow Lake’s announcement of the news Wednesday, via their Voyent Alert Notification.

Luna enjoys spending time with her grandparents Michelle and Terry, her uncles Joel, Zac and Elliot, her mom Bronwyn, her cat brother Tommy (sometimes), and her groomer/pet sitter Stephanie.

This marks the second year of Meadow Lake’s Dog Tag Auction, an initiative that sees all proceeds donated to the Meadow Lake & District Humane Society.
