He was active in 4-H, Boy Scouts, Air Cadets and he also served as an altar boy at the local Catholic Church.
David worked for SERM in the spring and summer of 1967. He started working as an apprentice plumber for his Dad in the fall and that was the start of his career in plumbing. He earned his journeyman’s Plumbing and Heating Ticket in the winter of 1972.
David worked for a number of different plumbing companies over the years and owned and ran his own company for several years. He spent the last years of his career working maintenance for the Northern Lights School Board out of Beauval. He retired in 2012.

They moved to Regina so Dell could complete her Education Degree, then back to Meadow Lake in July, 1981. Their son, Derek William was born July 29, 1981.
David spent many hours teaching his children to love the outdoors, teaching them to canoe, hunt, fish, water ski and how to drive the boat. He also spent many hours in skating rinks and at ball diamonds cheering his children in all their sports.
He also spent his time as a member of the Kinsmen Club, the Stampede Committee and a Boy Scout leader. He went on numerous canoeing, hunting and fishing trips with friends and family.
The last several years of his life he found happiness with his grandchildren, again spending many hours cheering them on in all their activities.
David and Dell travelled extensively after retirement and always enjoyed their trips with family and friends.
