Two buildings in La Ronge and one in Meadow Lake receive environmentally friendly certificates
A building in Meadow Lake and two in La Ronge are among a small list of Saskatchewan properties getting recognized for the work done to be more environmentally friendly.
A total of 12 buildings recently received a BOMA BEST (Building Environmental Standards) Certificate. This included the Provincial Court House in Meadow Lake as well as Mistasinihk Place and the Government of Canada Building in La Ronge.
According to SaskBuilds and Procurement Minister Joe Hargrave, they were recognized for the work done to make the buildings more energy and water-efficient.
“Anytime we do a renovation we’re trying to look for the best way, the most environmentally friendly way, to make those changes and to make those buildings one of the best it can be,” he said.
