Stony Rapids adds to Saskatchewan’s streak of weather records
Mother Nature has been tough on winter activities this winter and the weather record keeper.
Wednesday brought more mild temperatures to the province which produced another entry in the weather record book.
Stony Rapids located 82 kilometres south of the border to the Northwest Territories broke their high temperature record with the mercury climbing to -0.6 C.
That was the only community to break a record Wednesday according to Environment Canada’s Chris Stammers who says the El Nino effect continues to shield us from the frigid conditions we’re used to seeing.
