Lisa Charity Poitras (nee Goy)
1979 – 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lisa on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the Meadow Lake Hospital.
Lisa was born at Tisdale, Saskatchewan. She and her family moved to Green Lake where she attended School. In 1990 the family moved to Meadow Lake. She Graduated from Carpenter High School. She loved school sports and spending time with her friends.
Lisa then completed her Special Care Aide Program and was employed at the Pioneer Lodge. She absolutely loved her job, the residents, and her co-workers. She loved to have fun and loved making people laugh.
Lisa had a special place in her heart for animals, but especially cats.
Every summer she enjoyed fishing, camping, quadding, and time outdoors.
Lisa had many struggles in her life, some were too heavy for her to overcome. She still tried to live life to the fullest and always look on the bright side of many situations that confronted her on her life path.
We hope everyone that knew Lisa can remember the happy, fun-loving, caring person she was throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter Jenna Goy (Chazz Morin), daughter Taylor Poitras (Brody McAmmond), her son Morgan Poitras.
Two grandchildren, Summer Morin and Max Morin.
Her parents, Bryan and Lois Goy.
Her siblings, Christopher Goy (Nichole), Levana Dutertre (Scott), and Linda Peters (Todd).
Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Lisa will be missed, especially by her family and close friends.
Lisa’s ashes will be laid to rest at a private family gathering.
