Success of Radiothon for STARS Air Ambulance

Apr 11, 2024 | 5:47 AM

The Critical Care on the Air Radiothon for STARS Air Ambulance in Saskatchewan raised over $430,000, indicating a successful fundraising effort. More than 40 radio stations across the province supported the Radiothon by encouraging donations and sharing inspiring patient stories from STARS. The Government of Saskatchewan provides about 50% of annual operating funds for STARS, with the rest acquired through provincial fundraising efforts, such as the Radiothon. These funds directly support missions, including fuel for helicopters, medical supplies, crew training, and innovations for improving patient outcomes.
