It is with great sadness that our family whishes to announce the passing of Isabel Herrod – Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 1, 2024. She was 96 years old.

Isabel was born in Tisdale, Sask. on April 11, 1927. She was raised on a farm 3 miles west of Hudson Bay, Sask. with 12 other siblings, 11 of whom were older. She attended school in town and completed grade 8.

In 1945 she married John Bernard (Barney) Herrod, and in 1947 with a 1 year in tow they moved to Meadow Lake, were she resided until her passing.

Isabel is survived by her son’s Jim (Emelia) and Brian (Irene); 7 Grandchildren;16 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.

Isabel is predeceased by her Husband Barney; Son Phillip and Daughter-in-Law Nikki; Parents William and Helen Jaszan; 9 Sisters and 3 Brothers.

She was much loved and will be sorely missed by her family.

A memorial service will be held for her on Saturday May 4, 2024 at 11:00 am from the Lutheran Anglican Church in Meadow Lake with lunch to follow at the Legion Hall Branch #76 in Meadow Lake, Sask.
