Adopt Amelia

Amelia is a young terrier mix female who was found wandering in the country. She was quite skittish and evaded those trying to rescue her but she was eventually caught and brought to our shelter.

She’s a very sweet girl who is a bit on the shy side. She is quite submissive and cowers when a hand is raised or if you make sudden movements so we aren’t sure if she’s had some negative experiences at the hands of humans in the past.

When she knows she can trust you she will quietly sneak her way onto your lap, her whole body wiggling along with her tail, and will shower your face with slobbery kisses. She’s got a lot of love to give!

She is great with other dogs as well as cats. She loves treats and will sit for them, or even cuter – stand on her hind legs and beg.
