Audrey was born Oct 29, 1942 and spent her childhood growing up in Hafford SK. At the age of 15 she attended her high school years at the Sacred Heart Academy Ukrainian Catholic School in Yorkton, SK. After finishing high school, she returned to Saskatoon and completed Teachers College. In the fall of 1961, she accepted a job teaching at the Rabbit Ridge school in the Makwa Area. This is where she met her future husband Richard who was farming with his family a few miles away. They married in 1962 and had 3 children. They took over the family farm in 1969, continued working side by side until they retired to Makwa in 1996. Mom also had a successful catering business with her best friend Lena Kurjata, played organ for the St Thomas Church was a Makwa Lions & Meadow Lake Stampede member, and operated the Makwa Café for many years. In later years she always had the coffee on, her famous cupcakes, goodies waited for family and friends when they stopped by for a visit. Rest easy Mom until we meet again.
