The sheriff is back: Riders sign QB Trevor Harris to contract extension
Trevor Harris isn’t done yet.
With questions surrounding his future after winning the 2025 Grey Cup, the Saskatchewan Roughriders announced they have signed the 39-year-old quarterback to a one-year contract extension.
He is coming off one of the best seasons in his 13-season CFL career, winning the 112th Grey Cup and being named the game’s Most Valuable Player. In the championship game, he threw for 302 yards and a Grey Cup record 85.2 completion percentage. It was only the fifth time in the Riders’ history that they won the CFL championship.
In order to reach the big game, Harris crafted a masterful final-minute, 76-yard touchdown drive to beat the B.C. Lions in the CFL West Final. In that game, he threw for 305 yards and two touchdowns.
