Christian Siriano puts some politics on his Hawaii runway

NEW YORK — Politics took a trip to Hawaii on Christian Siriano’s frilly, festive runway at New York Fashion Week.
The designer flashed a Cynthia Nixon T-shirt when he took his bow. And his husband, Brad Walsh, sat front row in a T that dropped an F-bomb in the direction of President Donald Trump. Nixon is challenging New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the Sept. 13 primary.
Politics made a strange bedfellow mixed with Siriano’s bright tropical colours and animal prints. The collection was Hawaii vacation themed. There were cheetah print dresses, zebra print blazers and lots of flared trousers. Siriano also included pencil skirts, chartreuse blouses, wrap skirts and drape dresses — and black ruffles galore.
