Vancouver Canucks extend Linus Karlsson, place Marco Rossi on injured reserve
VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Canucks have signed depth forward Linus Karlsson to a two-year extension.
The deal, announced Friday, carried an annual-average value of US$2.25 million.
Karlsson, 26, has 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) over 36 games with the Canucks this season.
The six-foot-one, 178-pound centre from Eksjo, Sweden, has played all 63 of his career NHL games for Vancouver, recording 12 goals and 10 assists, and helped the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks, to a Calder Cup last season.
