Feb 12, 2026 | 5:51 PM

Update: Feb. 14 – 11:35 a.m.

Pierceland RCMP arrested 31-year-old Daylan Kahpeepatow on Feb. 13 on charges including robbery with a firearm.

He is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on Feb. 16.

RCMP are asking the public to report sightings of a man wanted in connection with a firearm-related robbery investigation on Big Island Lake Cree Nation.

Police said officers responded on Feb. 9 after receiving a report of a man walking in the community while carrying a firearm. Officers patrolled the area and gathered information to identify the suspect as 31-year-old Daylan Kahpeepatow.

Investigators allege Kahpeepatow pointed a firearm at one individual and attempted to steal an all-terrain vehicle. Police said he then entered a residence and stole a phone from another person while still armed.

RCMP said Kahpeepatow, who also goes by the names Dylan Kahpeepatow or Daylan Ochuschayoo, is wanted on warrants for robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and careless use of a firearm.

He is described as 5’8 tall and about 122 pounds, with brown eyes and long black hair. Police said he was last seen wearing a black hat, blue jeans and a black-and-white coat.

Kahpeepatow is known to travel to Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Island Lake First Nation and Loon Lake, but his current whereabouts are unknown.

“Pierceland RCMP continue to investigate. If you see Daylan Kahpeepatow, do not approach him,” RCMP said in a release.

Anyone with information on Kahpeepatow’s whereabouts is asked to contact local police by calling 310-RCMP or submit tips anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
