Big River RCMP are asking for the public’s help as they try to locate an 18-year-old woman wanted in connection with a robbery and assault investigation on Big River First Nation.

Police said the incident happened May 17 just before 10 p.m. on Highway 793, when an SUV was stopped on the side of the road. RCMP said a group of people approached the vehicle and demanded the keys. During the confrontation, bear spray was deployed inside the SUV and the vehicle was stolen.

The occupants were later assessed by EMS and reported non-life-threatening injuries to police.

She is described as five-foot-seven, 140 pounds, with brown eyes and dyed red hair. RCMP said they are working to obtain a photograph of her.
