Jun 10, 2026 | 12:41 PM

RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a Turtleford man charged in connection with what police say was a “targeted” and “gang-related” shooting that left two men injured in Lloydminster.

The investigation began on Nov. 10, 2025, when RCMP responded to a report at Lloydminster Hospital, where the men’s injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

Investigators later located both the scene of the shooting and a vehicle believed to have been involved.

With assistance from the Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section and Forensic Identification Section, officers executed search warrants and recovered the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting.

The National Forensic Laboratory Services helped identify a suspect, 30-year-old Robert Lee Plourde.

“Attempts to locate Plourde have been unsuccessful, and the RCMP has obtained a warrant for his arrest.”

Plourde has been charged with discharge of a firearm with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized and three counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited.

RCMP describe Plourde as having a medium complexion, standing 5’10” tall and weighing 264 pounds. He has a teardrop tattoo near his left eye.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Lloydminster RCMP at 780-808-8400. Those who wish to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com, or by using the “P3 Tips” app.
