Jun 27, 2026 | 8:41 AM

RCMP are asking for the public’s help after shots were fired near the Lloydminster Travelodge Friday evening, leaving investigators searching for four vehicles believed to be connected to the incident.

Police said officers responded at about 7:57 p.m. on June 26 to the report. As the investigation continues, residents may notice an increased police presence in the area.

“It is not believed there is an ongoing threat to public safety.”

Investigators are attempting to locate two white four-door BMW SUVs with unknown licence plates. One of the SUVs is believed to have sustained damage to its rear. Both vehicles were last seen travelling southbound on 50 Avenue near 36 Street.

Police are also trying to identify and locate a black Dodge Ram pickup truck and a dark-coloured Hyundai sedan that may be connected to the investigation.

RCMP said one suspect was last seen wearing a tan hoodie, tan pants and white shoes. Officers are also seeking to identify a woman wearing a red shirt and black pants and a man wearing a white shirt with green shorts featuring white trim.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw any of the vehicles described, or has dash camera footage, surveillance video or other information that could assist investigators is asked to contact the Lloydminster RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
