UPDATE: Missing woman found safe as RCMP continue search for charged man

RCMP continue to ask the public to report sightings and information on the whereabouts of Kevin Ross Watt. The woman he allegedly abducted has been located safe. This story was updated to remove the photo and name of the woman, as suggested by RCMP.

Update: July 13, 11:35 a.m. 

Saskatchewan RCMP are asking the public to report sightings of and information on the whereabouts of 31-year-old Kevin Ross Watt. 

Watt is charged with kidnapping with a firearm and failure to comply after further investigation into the whereabouts of a 30-year-old woman.

Watt is described as 5-11 and 198 pounds, with blue eyes and short brown hair. He may be driving a grey 2009 Chevrolet Impala with Sask. license plate 402 NRJ. The car has a damaged windshield and front bumper. 

Currently his direction of travel is unknown. Watt is known to travel in the Loon Lake, Lloydminster, St. Walburg and Maidstone areas. 

RCMP say they are unable to provide additional information about the investigation at this time. Updates will be provided when available. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, RCMP say they will notify the public. 

Anyone who sees Watt is asked not to approach him. Report all sightings and information about the whereabouts of Watt to local police at 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com

Saskatchewan RCMP is seeking public assistance locating a 30-year-old woman, who was potentially abducted in the Loon Lake area.

She was reportedly taken from a residence near Makwa Lake at approximately 12:45 a.m. Monday. Police said they’re trying to locate her to confirm her safety. 

She may be travelling with a man in a grey 2009 Chevrolet Impala with SK license plate 402 NRJ. The car has a damaged windshield and damage to the front bumper. The direction of travel is unknown.

Saskatchewan RCMP’s Battlefords Serious Crimes Unit is investigating and said it was unable to provide additional information about the investigation at this timem but updates will be provided when available.
