‘They’re all going through it together’: Sask. Roughriders GM speaks on Jayden Dalke death
Jeremy O’Day was solemn on Monday morning as he spoke to media about the late Jayden Dalke, two days after his fatal car crash.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager said he was a loved teammate – not only by the other Roughriders, but by former teammates as well.
“If you’ve ever had a chance to meet Jayden, you know exactly what I’m talking about. You never left a conversation with Jayden where you didn’t feel happy, positive. (He was) someone that was always smiling, never had a bad day. Always just a pleasure to be around,” said O’Day.
Dalke died in a crash on Highway 11 near Lumsden on Saturday night. According to the RCMP, Dalke’s SUV collided with another on the highway at 9 p.m., killing both Dalke and the driver of the other vehicle.
