Sask. motorcycle store says retaliation tariffs will drive off customers
EMERALD PARK – A Saskatchewan motorcycle store is hoping the federal government hits the brakes on tariffs on Harley-Davidson bikes.
Nearly every product in Prairie Harley-Davidson is subject to a new 50 per cent tariff as Canada targets the iconic American motorcycle brand.
The federal government implemented a large list of counter-tariffs on American products last week, after the United States imposed 50 per cent tariffs on $27.6 billion of Canadian goods.
Robb Hertzog, co-owner of the motorcycle business in Emerald Park, said the additional costs will drive away customers.
