Bruce Thomson was the third eldest of five children born to Alfred and Birdie Thomson. The family moved to the Morin Creek area when Bruce was an infant and this is where he grew up, raised his family and farmed until he retired.
In 1992, he and his wife LeIla moved into Meadow Lake. After retiring, Bruce became an avid golfer and gardener and continued to be actively involved in the community until the time of his passing.
Bruce’s love for his family and friends, his loyalty, his work ethic, and his strong sense of community are part of the legacy he leaves behind. He was a good man and he will be missed.
Bruce leaves to mourn his patient, loving wife LeIla and their 7 children; Pat Andrais, Jean (Greg) Crawford, Judy (Paul) Whistlecraft, Shelly (Dale) Adamson, David (Janet) Thomson, Lori (Robert) Bundschuh, and Stacey (Dan) Roussel; his sisters Virginia Lockert and Margaret (Randy) Krenz, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Birdie, his sister Winona Temple and her husband Wes, his younger brother Jack Thomson and his wife Eva, as well as brothers-in-law Roy Lockert and Ted Gilson, and nieces Louise Barrett and Donna Thomson.
