Clarence Honish age 92 passed away on November 18, 2024 at Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. He was born August 10, 1932 at Bruno, Saskatchewan, son of the late Josephine (Langhorst) Honish and Anton Honish.

At age of 1 he moved with his family to a homestead near Peerless, Saskatchewan where he resided until his passing. Clarence attended four different country schools, old Goodsoil School, Waterhen, Emberville and Peerless, walking four miles morning and evening. As a student he excelled at sports.

After leaving school he worked at various jobs from Uranium City to La Fleche, Saskatchewan. Upon returning home at age 20 he lost his right arm in a tragic accident while operating his father’s sawmill.

As a result Clarence purchased and operated the Pearless General Store assisted by his sister’s Josephine and Delores. Eventually the store was sold and Clarence took over the operation of the family farm. In his younger days he enjoyed playing softball and won numerous trophies for his curling abilities. He loved country and old time music and was an excellent dancer. Many happy hour were spent playing cards with family and friends, he was also an avid bingo player.

Clarence was predeceased by his Parents, Wife Valeria, 4 Brothers and 5 Sisters. and 6 Stepchildren.

He is survived by 2 Sisters, Josephine Treptow and Delores Hofer, 2 Brothers Gene and Ken and 6 Stepchildren.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 pm May 3, 2025 at the Goodsoil Recreation Hall, Goodsoil, Saskatchewan.
