Kurt was born February 6, 1925 in Hoflenz, Moravia
Czschoslovakia. He immigrated to Canada in 1939. Joined the Army in December 1944 and was discharged in April 1946. Kurt Married Dietlind Schilling on September 28, 1958. They farmed in Loon River district and had 4 children. He moved to Cabana district in 1975 until 2009 when he entered the Northland Pioneer Lodge were he lived until his passing. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by those who knew him.

Kurt was predeceased by his father Franz Katzer, his mother Filomena Katzer (nee Sonntag), sister Helga, brother Frank, his estranged wife Dietland. He is survived by his son Herbert (Shirley), daughter Lorraine, son Robert (Flora) and son Gerold (Rita), grandchildren Ben (Pam), Gus (Kelsey), Vanessa, Matthew (Krystal), Cheryl, Joline, Dustin and Melissa. Also 7 great grandchildren Reyna, Alyson, Nixon, Eva, Abbey, Carter and Macy.

CREMATION
With private family burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Meadow Lake, Sask.
