Ron was born December 27th, 1935 on his family homestead near Edam, Saskatchewan.He is predeceased by his parents Jan and Eva (Presley) Timmer and his brothers, Glen and Jack Timmer and brother-in-law Larry Wegren and sister-in-law Evelina Timmer.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Harder) of 66 years and his four children: Lorna Glover, Lorne Timmer (Trish), Lonnie Boothman (Layne), Leonard Timmer (Lisa). He has 9 grandchildren: Brendan Boothman and his wife Trissa, Kyle Boothman and his wife Vanessa, Justin, Cody and his wife Jodi, Maggie and Jack Glover, Alyssa Nordell and her husband Damian, Jace and Callee. He also has 9 great-grandchildren: Adelie, Ryker and Brodie Boothman, Kyson and Dario Boothman, Lincoln, Layla and Kayden and Roman Nordell.
Also celebrating Ron’s life are his sisters: Doreen Rempel and her husband Bob and Carol Wegren, along with numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family members.
Ron loved Jesus, his family and farming and was taken home to be with his Lord and Saviour on January 31st, 2025 at the age of 89 years in the city of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan.
Our family is grateful for all the love and support from those who were here with us during this time of celebration and remembrance as well as those loved ones who were not able to be here with us.
