Spiritwood RCMP searching for cause of house fire

A home in the Rural Municipality of Spiritwood was reduced to rubble Friday morning, and the cause is not yet known.

At 10:15 a.m. Friday morning, May 27, Spiritwood RCMP were advised of a residential structure fire, two kilometres southeast of the Village of Chitek Lake.

When officers arrived on scene, the residence was almost completely burned.

The detached garage on the property had already burned to the ground, and both a pole quanset and smaller vacant cabin were on fire.
