Cosplayer’s replica weapon causes stir on Toronto streetcar

TORONTO — Officials in Toronto are warning cosplayers to leave their replica weapons at home if they’re taking public transit to Fan Expo this weekend.
A cosplayer caused a bit of a fright on Friday when he was spotted carrying what appeared to be a semi-automatic rifle on a Toronto streetcar.
Police say they got a number of calls about a man with a gun on the streetcar.
Police say the man was escorted off by a number of officers and put in handcuffs.
