A look inside the athletes’ village at the Tony Cote Summer Games
With the Tony Cote Games in town, people around the Battlefords have the opportunity to take in various summer sports as First Nations from across Saskatchewan come together not only to compete, but also to celebrate Indigenous history and culture in Canada.
As athletes from around the province gather in the Battlefords, people from different nations can interact and get to know one another at the athletes’ village, located at the North Battleford fairgrounds.
The athletes’ village offers food vendors, open areas for recreation, cultural activities and even haircuts.
