Meadow Lake facilities remain open amid COVID-19 spread
The City of Meadow Lake is working on precautionary measures to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) as Saskatchewan confirmed its second presumptive case.
City manager, Diana Burton told meadowlakeNOW in an email, the city will not be closing or reducing access to any facilities yet.
“We have directed rental groups to the Health Canada risk assessment guide for large public gatherings, as each event is unique in its risk level,” she said. “We will not be penalizing and will refund deposits for any groups who choose to cancel or reschedule their events due to concerns over the virus.”
In a press release issued today, the City of Meadow Lake said it is committed to working with the Saskatchewan Health Authority to ensure the community is as prepared as possible to respond to the rapidly changing COVID-19 pandemic.
