Wanted in Saskatchewan: 10 people being hunted by RCMP in August
Saskatchewan RCMP’s wanted list for August includes people being sought for forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, robbery, arson and assault while choking.
The RCMP said it publishes the list based on people with active warrants who were last known to be living in Saskatchewan, selected based on a review of their current criminal charges and the potential harm they present to communities in the province.
People on the list are chosen by a data-driven scoring system using the Crime Severity Index, a Statistics Canada measurement that looks at both the number and the relative severity of crimes.
Factors such as age, gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, sexuality or disability of an offender are not considered in the scoring process, RCMP said.
