Meadow Lake RCMP arrest man in possession of cocaine

The Meadow Lake RCMP detachment has arrested a man suspected to be involved in gang activity.
On May 11 around 7 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle after it was seen leaving a residence known to be involved in gang activities. Officers learned the driver had a suspended license and the man was arrested. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed the man was in possession of cocaine, a digital scale, $650 cash and a canister of bear spray.
Theodore Bouvier, 33, from Jan’s Bay has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a restricted weapon.
Bouvier has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on June 21.
