RCMP searching for two vehicles after robbery on Highway 3
The Maidstone RCMP are searching for a truck and a van after a robbery with a firearm happened on highway 3 in the RM of Britannia near the communities of Paradise Hill and Frenchman Butte.
According to a media release, the incident happened this morning at 6:30 a.m. and initial investigation has shown a dark-coloured four-door pickup truck forced a white car off the highway and then the truck rammed the car.
A firearm was then pointed at the lone driver of the car, who was able to flee the area on foot without any injuries. Those in the truck were not known to them. The truck will have some damage to it on the right rear bumper with some white paint on it.
Afterwards, the RCMP was able to patrol the area but did not locate the truck. Police believe a second vehicle, a tan brown van with a cracked windshield is also involved. There could be as many as four people in the van but descriptions are not available.
