Seymour acclaimed as ML mayor; nine candidates vie for seats on council

Meadow Lake Mayor Merlin Seymour has been acclaimed in the upcoming municipal election but there will still be an election for council this fall.

As the deadline for nominations has now drawn to a close, nine people have filed their intentions for a chance to have a seat at the table.

Current councillors Mauri Young, Ron Dishko, Martin Bishop, Tom Harrison and Conrad Read will face competition from four new candidates: Dwayne Mysko, Anne Duriez, Mike Ferguson and Connie Marsh-Yuhasz.

Residents make their choice November. 13.
