Île-à-la-Crosse RCMP investigate serious assault

A man assaulted in Île-à-la-Crosse on Saturday, was taken to hospital by EMS with injuries described as serious in nature.

Those details were released by RCMP on Tuesday, while also confirming the incident remains under investigation, and as of Tuesday, there have been no arrests.

The investigation determined the male had been assaulted before he arrived at a residence on Elbow Crescent.

Anyone with information about this incident, or who witnessed suspicious activity in Île-à-la-Crosse on the morning of July 4, is asked to contact police.
