Cleanup continues after powerful storms tear through northeastern Saskatchewan
A weekend of severe storms left a trail of damage across northeastern Saskatchewan, toppling thousands of trees, damaging buildings and knocking out power for thousands of residents as cleanup efforts continued Monday.
Communities including Aylsham, Codette, Arborfield, Carrot River and Kinistino reported extensive damage after powerful winds swept through the region Saturday.

Trees were snapped or uprooted throughout the area, with some falling onto homes, vehicles and power lines. Grain bins were overturned, roofs were damaged or torn off buildings and machinery and vehicles also sustained damage.
