Île-à-la-Crosse teens facing multiple firearms offenses

Three teenagers have been charged after a gun was fired in Île-à-la-Crosse.  

On July 16 at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers received a report of a firearm discharge in a treed area near Amisk Crescent. It was reported to police that three teenage boys were seen exiting the area shortly after the incident. 

Police located and arrested the boys, as well as seized two sawed-off firearms and bear spray. All three were each charged with possession of a restricted firearm/prohibited weapon with ammunition without license/registration, possession of a concealed weapon, careless use of a firearm, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.  

Two of the teens were additionally charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, and the third teen was additionally charged with weapons possession contrary to order, and possession of a firearm when knowing possession is unauthorized.
