Second-degree murder charge laid in Green Lake homicide

A Green Lake woman has been charged with second-degree murder following the death of a man in the northern village Tuesday night.
Meadow Lake/Green Lake RCMP responded to a report of an injured man at about 10:35 p.m. Officers found the man outside a business on McIntosh Avenue, where EMS later declared him dead.
The community is located approximately 49 km east of Meadow Lake.
The victim was identified as 46-year-old Michael Lafond of Green Lake. RCMP said his family has been notified and victim services have been made available.
