New Saskatchewan Day song honours musician’s Prairie roots
Some places leave a mark on you long after you’ve moved away.
For Dr. Bruce Lee Thiessen, Saskatchewan isn’t just where he grew up — it’s a collection of memories, landscapes, and stories that continue to inspire his music today.
Known to his fans as Doctor BLT, Thiessen has turned his childhood experiences, the Prairie views, and love for small-town Saskatchewan into a new song titled Saskatchewan. The song is already available on some platforms including Spotify, and on Saskatchewan Day people will be able to stream it on all major platforms and through his website drbltmusic.com or on Spotify.
“I have so many great memories of Saskatchewan embedded permanently in my mind,” he said.
