Man dead after motorcycle incident

A man is dead following a motorcycle incident near Domremy.

The St. Louis Fire Department reports at 9:42 a.m. on Aug. 8, firefighters were dispatched following a report of a motorcycle in a slough approximately two kilometers north of Domremy on Highway 2.

Upon arrival, the man had already been removed from the water by bystanders. Firefighters immediately began CPR and continued lifesaving efforts until EMS arrived. Wakaw EMS, RCMP, and STARS subsequently attended the scene.

Despite the combined efforts of bystanders and all responding agencies, lifesaving measures were unsuccessful.
