Pedestrian dead after Lloydminster hit-and-run

RCMP have identified a suspect vehicle and driver after a pedestrian died following a hit-and-run in Lloydminster, but investigators are still seeking video from the area.

Police responded at about 6:30 a.m. Monday to a report of a person lying on the roadway near 49th Avenue.

Officers determined the person had been injured in a collision involving a vehicle. The individual was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead.

The investigation remains ongoing.
