Cocaine, cash seized during RM of Frenchman Butte traffic stop

Turtleford RCMP arrested two people after seizing suspected cocaine during a traffic stop in the RM of Frenchman Butte.

At about 10:50 p.m. on Sept. 24, officers conducting proactive patrols near Highway #21 noticed a truck travelling without its lights on and initiated a traffic stop.

Police determined the driver was prohibited from driving and observed what they described as drug-trafficking paraphernalia in plain view. The driver and two passengers were arrested.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of about 40 grams of suspected cocaine, cash and drug-trafficking paraphernalia.
