Carrot River firefighter recovering from injury
A firefighter in Carrot River is on the mend after being injured during a weekend call.
“On Sunday, we had a structure fire call out in the R.M. of Moose Range,” Administrator Kevin Trew said. “During that call, one of our firefighters was injured when a piece of the structure released from the remaining structure and fell in his direction.”
Thankfully, the firefighter has returned home, but will not be on active duty for two weeks.
“We’re really excited to announce that our firefighter that was injured is doing OK; is on the mend,” Trew said. “There was no permanent, nothing permanent done, he seems to be recovering and all the tests and everything that we, all the precautionary tests that were done came back good.”
