Meadow Lake DQ holding first Miracle Treat Day on Aug. 8

While Dairy Queen restaurants across the country have taken part in Miracle Treat Day for the past 16 years, this will be a first for the Meadow Lake location.

The Meadow Lake DQ Grill & Chill will be celebrating Miracle Treat Day on Thursday, Aug. 8.

All proceeds from Blizzard purchases on the day will be given to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, which is a part of the Children’s Miracle Network. Money raised will go towards pediatric medical research, equipment, education and the children’s hospital.

The new Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon began construction on September 25, 2014 and is expected to open this fall. The 176 bed hospital will provide neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, general pediatrics, pediatric emergency, ambulatory services as well as maternal services.

Dairy Queen has raised $135 million across North America in support of the Children’s Miracle Network since 1984.
