CHAMBER GOLF TOURNAMENT

Meadow Lake Chamber of Commerce holding first charity golf tournament

Jul 22, 2020 | 1:33 PM

Meadow Lake and District Chamber of Commerce is holding its first ever charity golf tournament with proceeds to be donated to the local non-profit, Positively Parenting.

Positively Parenting offers education, support and counseling services to local families and individuals. Colten Ethier, the chamber’s assistant administrator told meadowlakeNOW the tournament is hoping to bring out 90 golfers from all over the region.

“We’re having tee times every 10 minutes from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.,” he said. ”The main thing for golfers now is to continue to adhere to pandemic restrictions in terms of social distancing.”

The tournament will consist of teams of four and the chamber will accommodate single golfers by placing them in a team. There will be a meal provided at the end of tournament by Devour Grill and Bar to be pre-ordered through the Chamber. Devour will be offering its regular menu.

Ethier said he wanted to keep prizes as a surprise though did say door prizes will be drawn on Facebook Live the following day.

The cost is $100 per golfer to be held on Tuesday, August 18 at Meadow Lake Golf Club. To book a tee-time, call the Chamber office at (306)236-4061 or the Meadow Lake tourism office at (306)236-4447.
