Province reports 27 new cases in Saskatchewan, 17 in northern zones

There are 27 new cases of COVID-19, and 47 recoveries, to report in Saskatchewan on July 13. This brings the provincial total to 49,304 cases; 48,356 total recoveries and 375 cases are considered active.

The new cases in Northern Saskatchewan are located in the following zones: Far North West, five; Far North East, 10; North West, three; Saskatoon, two; and Central East, two. Two out-of-province cases were removed from the following zones: North West, one; and Central East, one.

No new deaths were reported today.

NITHA Data

As of July 12, there are 119 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities.

These cases are located in the Far North Central (Athabasca), four; Far North West, 13; Far North East, 100; North Central, one; and North East, one.

There are 62 active cases of COVID-19 Variants of Concern (VOCs) in NITHA communities. These cases are located in the Far North Central; one, Far North West, five; and Far North East, 56.

There has been 3,750 cases (96 per cent) that have recovered, and three people are hospitalized.

Vaccines Reported

An additional 2,419 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,307,065.

The additional 2,419 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported today were administered to residents living in the following zones: Far North West, 46; Far North East, 25; North West, 571; North Central, 149; North East, 31; Saskatoon, 761; Central West, 36; Central East, 59; Regina, 548; South West, 17; South Central, 23; and South East, 67. There were 86 doses administered with zone of residence pending.

Seventy-three per cent of those 12+ have received their first dose and 55 per cent of those 12+ are fully vaccinated.
