Summer of Connection

Coffee parties, Pow-wows and parades. The summer of 2022 is proving to be a time when people are coming out to come together once again.
In June, I met with constituents at meetings in a number of Saskatchewan Rivers communities. The vast majority of people that came out wanted to talk about how they were affected by overreaching government mandates. A second topic that emerged was how badly the province’s 2022-23 budget has failed to meet needs in the education system. The problems brought to my attention are extremely concerning. I will ask the government to address these issues when the house resumes in the fall.
The Sturgeon Lake Pow-wow brought visitors and dancers from across North America to their community. My granddaughter Jane and I participated in the Grand Entry and experienced such gracious hospitality. Thank you for the heartfelt invitation and friendship.
