Pinehouse RCMP investigating after inmate escapes from Besnard Correctional Centre

Update on Oct. 19: Anthony Alcrow was located and arrested in Saskatoon by Saskatoon Police Service on October 16.

RCMP in Pinehouse have launched an investigation after an inmate at the Besnard Lake Correctional Camp escaped lawful custody.

At around 6:50 Saturday evening, police received a report that an inmate had escaped the camp at roughly 5:15 earlier that afternoon.

The escapee, 37-year-old Anthony Michael Alcrow, is described as being 6’2 and 198 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police say he may be in the communities of Beauval, La Ronge, or Prince Albert but that information has not yet been confirmed. It was also unspecified what he was wearing at the time of his escape.
