P.A high school marks first stop for provincial shipment of feminine hygiene products
Over three million menstrual products will soon be handed out across the province.
Laura Ross, Saskatchewan’s Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, was in Prince Albert on Monday where she announced that they’ve received its first shipment from Shoppers Drug Mart, a couple of months after the two partnered to provide free period products.
She told reporters nearly all of the products will be given to the province’s school boards.
“The school boards are selecting the schools that are going to be receiving the shipments. Also, we will be allocating some of the shipments to some of our transition houses,” said Ross.
