Clement, Valenzuela hit homers to power Blue Jays to 8-1 rout of Red Sox
TORONTO — George Springer is back with the Toronto Blue Jays. Jose Berrios could be next to return and Addison Barger is likely close behind.
The Blue Jays are getting healthy again after an injury-marred opening month of the regular season. The April schedule is nearly complete and the team is starting to look more like the squad that reached the World Series last fall.
Springer had a pinch-hit RBI single, Ernie Clement and Brandon Valenzuela hit homers, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had three hits to lead Toronto to an 8-1 rout of the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday.
It was Toronto’s third series win in a row.
