Three charged

Two adults and a youth charged after man shot in Pierceland

On March 8, RCMP attended a home in Pierceland after the homeowner reported three unknown males entered his home with a gun.

According to RCMP spokesperson Rob King, two adult men were in the home at the time. One was shot in his lower body. King said the wound was not life-threatening.

The three unknown males fled the residence on foot. After an investigation, three individuals were identified and arrested in Cold Lake.

Two adult males and one youth are charged with aggravated assault and reckless discharge of a firearm.

Eighteen-year-old Samuel Jay Kiseyinewakup, 28-year-old Owen Albert Kytwayhat, and a youth whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, will make their next court appearance on March 12 in Meadow Lake Provincial Court.
